No One Should Have to Suspend Therapy Due to Weather

Acorn Hill EAAT Inc. is a non-profit organization committed to providing equine-assisted therapy to people in need. We have seen firsthand the positive impact that our programs have had on peoples' lives, and with your help, we can continue to offer our services year-round.

To make this happen, we need to build a covered and heated indoor arena.

Your support is critical in helping us make this project a reality. By making a 24-month commitment, you can help fund the construction of the PAUL PETERSON ARENA and support our mission to improve the lives of those in our community.

All donations are tax-deductible, and every contribution makes a difference. Your support will also help us honor the life and memory of Paul Peterson.

Tragedy to Triumph: The Acorn Hill Story

30 years ago, Kelly (Ries) Peterson survived a near-fatal car accident when she was struck by a drunk driver. Both legs and her lower jaw were broken. She also suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). During surgery, her lungs filled with fluid. Things looked grim.

After spending eleven days in a coma, Kelly woke up. Her first thought? How cool would it be to help a child who is unable to walk get onto the back of a horse. Kelly would spend her life making that happen.

In August of 2016, Acorn Hill EAAT Inc. was granted official 501(c)3 status. Her dream was realized. Kelly and her team have served all types of people ever since.

Acorn Hill EAAT Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit therapeutic horseback riding facility that provides Equine Assisted Activities or Therapies (EEA/T) and Hippotherapy treatment for children and adults with special needs in Motley, MN. Our facility is staffed with PATH International certified instructors and trained volunteers.
